Take control of trailer braking with the CURT Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller. Designed for modern towing setups, this Bluetooth-enabled brake controller plugs directly into a standard 7-way RV blade connector and connects wirelessly to your smartphone, letting you monitor and adjust brake settings without mounting a traditional controller in the cab. The Echo app is available for Apple iOS and Android OS, and the controller continues operating with the most recently programmed settings if Bluetooth connection is lost.

This brake controller is built for convenience. Its plug-and-play design installs between the vehicle and trailer 7-way connectors with no invasive wiring, while automatic calibration helps reduce setup time. The portable design also makes it easy to move between compatible vehicle-trailer combinations, and the app can store multiple vehicle-trailer profiles, which is especially useful for drivers who tow more than one trailer.

For dependable braking performance, CURT used a tri-axis inertia-based activation system for responsive, smooth stops. The unit is compatible with 1 to 2 trailer axles and works with low-volt, PWM, ABS, and cruise control systems. A multi-color LED helps indicate power, trailer detection, and wireless connectivity, while built-in reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection add an extra layer of confidence.

Because the controller mounts outside the vehicle, CURT built it with a weather-resistant, potted enclosure to help seal internal components from moisture and the elements. A retention strap and locking tab help keep the controller firmly connected at the 7-way socket.
